Nevin Barich is an American media and analytics professional who began his career in journalism. He started out as a sports writer and copy editor at the Los Angeles Daily News, staying there until 2003 when he transitioned from traditional journalism into industry analysis work. He worked as a senior editor at the National Notary Association and, and until September 2025 served as a consumer products and food & beverage analyst for Industry Intelligence Inc., where he provided insights and market intelligence. Barich has long wanted a return to sportswriting and is now reunited with The Sporting Tribune CEO Arash Markazi after they were colleagues at the Daily News. Barich, who graduated with a Broadcast Journalism degree from California State University, Northridge in 2001, has been married to ESPN Senior NBA Writer Ramona Shelburne since 2009. The couple has two children: Daniel Charlie Barich (born 2018) and Jacob Bryan Barich (born 2022).
